Migori County Records Growth in Agricultural Output
The agriculture sector reports a 25% increase in crop production following county support programmes.
Migori County has recorded a significant 25% growth in agricultural output following the county government's input subsidy and extension services programmes. Over 10,000 smallholder farmers received subsidized seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides this season.
The Department of Agriculture credited the growth to improved adoption of modern farming techniques, better access to quality inputs, and expanded irrigation schemes in Kuria East and West sub-counties.
